Guest Speaker:

Dr. David Sheard, Emeritus Director/Founder, Dementia Care Matters, UK

Over the past 30 years, Dr. Sheard has developed a reputation as a well known, international motivational speaker and a leading dementia care consultant in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada and Australia. His main focus in speaking has been to hold up a mirror to reflect the realities of dementia care and what it really takes to “get it”.


Topic: “What is Important for the Future of Dementia Care?”

To discuss what areas government and care providers should give priority to in order to improve dementia care, and what acute care, home care, and community services can change in order to improve services for people living with dementia.
